The After Fashion Week Issue - Mary Katranzou

Friday, 17 October 2014

It's done. The fashion fuelled weeks are over. Now I think it's time for me to establish my favourites.

Before I scurry through a list of designers, and attempt to pretentiously show off how many I know, I'd like to give 5 out of 5 Terry Richardson's thumbs up to Mary Katrantzou.

Katrantzou took a dip in the ocean. She plunged into the water and found herself interlaced in seaweed. In the chaos she became utterly mesmerised by how dreamlike the seaweed swam. A party of amphibian and scaly friends, all dressed in ballerina costumes, came to her rescue and rested her on a reef of enchanting coloured coral. As she sat on the gravely and glittering ocean floor, she took out her pen and paper, looked at her surroundings, and began to design this collection.

Well, I can't say that actually happened but let's presume that's how she design this distinguishing collection.

I can see celebrities like Kate Hudson, Zoe Saldana and Nicole Richie wearing these gorgeously.
